We are thrilled to share the incredible success our team experienced at the NAMA Show 2024 in Dallas, Texas, held from May 7th through May 9th! This event brought together industry leaders, operators, and enthusiasts from across the country, and we were honored to be a part of it.
A Milestone for Authentic Taste
Despite our team’s extensive experience with tradeshows and expos, we approached this event with a mix of excitement and uncertainty. Our new brand and innovative product, Naked Tamales, are unlike anything else in the market, and we knew we were challenging deep-rooted traditions in an industry often perceived as stagnant.
Challenging the Status Quo
In the food industry, innovation is frequently just a repackaging of the same old products, wrapped in clever marketing and higher prices, labeled as “NEW.” At Authentic Taste, we aimed to break this mold. Our mission was to introduce a radical mindset, demonstrating to our customers—retailers, vending businesses, micro markets, commissaries—that it is possible to offer high-quality, 100% natural, nutritious products without the premium price tag. We wanted to show that healthy food can be accessible to all.
Overwhelming Response
From the very first day, the response was overwhelming. Despite the shorter hours on the opening day, the flood of interest and excitement made the time fly by. Our booth was consistently packed with curious visitors eager to sample our products and delve into the economics of Naked Tamales. Initially, we hoped to secure 10-12 solid leads, converting a few into customers. Instead, we walked away with 67 leads, with at least half ready to place orders on the spot.
Intentional Disruption for Progress
At Authentic Taste, we believe in the power of healthy and intentional disruption. If no one challenges the status quo, progress stalls. We aim to spark a dialogue among food manufacturers, fostering healthy competition and pushing for higher standards.
